Ohioans need your help!

One extremely unfortunate and restrictive reality regarding my ability to provide Biblically informed mental health counseling to the residents of Ohio is FUNDING! 9 Concepts Counseling is a solely donation-funded private practice that offers Biblically informed mental health counseling to Ohioans in need. The acquisition of service fees ($122.64 per 60-minute session) for 25 sessions per week for 48 weeks out of the year (1200 clinical hours, not including documentation time, which is approximately a 1:1 ratio) and yearly operating expenses ($11,108.77) can only be acquired through the generosity of donors to ensure the service is made available to Ohioans that choose to participate. 9 Concepts Counseling is NOT a 501 (c)3 organization (non-profit) because these organizations are regulated by the federal government, primarily through the IRS, which sets specific rules for their operation and tax-exempt status. I will not be a participant in any process that attempts to dictate how I provide services to my clients. Because I choose not to participate in a system that could attempt to control the delivery of the service I offer, donations to help fund this service are considered non-tax-exempt. The service I offer is and always will be based on Biblically informed concepts as instruction and intervention for the struggles we face in our lives as a result of our fallen (sinful) nature. The Biblical foundation of the service I offer WILL NOT CHANGE! All Ohioans willing to participate in a Biblically informed evaluation of their struggles and submit themselves to Biblically informed interventions are encouraged to participate in this service. There is absolutely no lack of need in the population for the service I want to provide, but there is an overwhelming lack of financial means for Ohioans who would participate. To put it bluntly, the general service of mental health counseling, no matter how necessary for the individual, is extremely limited by being considered a financial luxury for most, and unfortunately, those who can't afford services are suffering. This is tragic. I'm not willing to continue to allow this to happen. Speaking to a professional about suicidal ideation or suicidal intent (an eternally damning decision-making process) could potentially avert such a tragedy. This service is necessary, not a luxury! Speaking with a professional about falling so deeply into depression that suicide may begin to seem like a welcome solution should not be a luxury; it’s a necessity! Being able to speak with a professional about anxiety so bad that the mere thought of going outside creates a panic that is so real to them that they risk becoming a prisoner inside not only their residence but also themselves (their own mind), should not be a luxury; it’s a necessity!  To be able to speak with a professional about experiencing traumatic circumstances so horrible that each of the previous conditions I've used as examples has the potential to develop within one individual who could've potentially been helped, should not be a luxury; it’s a necessity! Why? I want to ensure that any Ohioan who may be suffering from a mental health condition (willing to participate in a Biblically informed evaluation of their struggles and submit themselves to Biblically informed interventions) has the opportunity to talk with a professional. Please consider donating to this much-needed Bible-based professional service. No amount is too small or too big. Anything helps! And thank you for caring enough about someone else who may be suffering to consider a donation. Without God’s help through you, offering this service wouldn’t be possible. God bless!
